NECHAMA teams were on the ground in September 2017, working in both the response and rebuild phases up until April 2018. In cooperation and coordination with our partners on the ground in Texas, we are now working towards the next phase of our Texas Rebuild Program. We are now working in Wharton County, south-west of Houston. This is an area that has not received the same level of support as many nearby areas, and there is still a great amount of unmet needs in this community.
Primarily we will be focusing on flooring, and installation of insulation and drywall. We aim to get as many families as possible back in their homes as efficiently and safely as possible. Our NECHAMA teams are excited to work in Wharton County; to live in Tikkun Olam, and rebuild and repair the world!
