NECHAMA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit based out of Minnesota providing natural disaster response, rebuild, and preparedness training services nationwide. We maintain a small Core Mission Support team so that the majority of donations support direct service to storm-affected families and communities. As we enter the peak months of the 2019 hurricane season The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has indicating an increased chance of an above-average Atlantic hurricane season. Unfortunately, there are some items NECHAMA cannot accept, including in-kind gifts of collected items to distribute to survivors such as clothing, and perishable goods. Many of our partners through the National VOAD are able to assist you with distributions of this kind.
