Irma hit Florida on September 10, battering the state’s lower half and leaving a trail of tornadoes and storm-surge flooding in its wake. NECHAMA responded shortly after the event, initially in Flagler Beach where we completed work on 45 homes. In November we moved our program to Jacksonville.
Our Irma response team is on the ground assisting storm-affected families gutting homes, roof-tarping and removing downed trees.
We are not currently accepting volunteers in Florida. Please check our other projects for volunteer opportunities.
