NECHAMA Jewish Response to Disaster – Warehouse Reception
Date: Sunday September 22, 2019
Time: 3:00pm
Location: 12219 Nicollet Ave Burnsville, MN 55337
What goes into providing comfort to those affected by natural disasters?
Join us at the NECHAMA warehouse for an afternoon event where you will learn about the world of disaster response and what it means to those involved. Come meet the NECHAMA team, tour the warehouse, and get first-hand stories of the response work that the organization has been providing in Minnesota and across the country.
It is our goal to bring awareness of what it means to be involved in disaster response and recovery; what our community can do to further our mission and to support those affected by natural disasters. NECHAMA, rooted in the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam, repairing the world, provides comfort and hope to communities by engaging volunteers in disaster recovery work.
The people of Minnesota are the first NECHAMA community members and are the foundation of what we have been able to build upon since our first disaster response in 1993.
