Over the last 3.5 weeks, a NECHAMA Assessment team has assisted communities impacted by Winter Storm Uri.
The NECHAMA assessment team partnered with an International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) assessment team. These teams coordinated the delivery of plumbing supplies to areas of Texas that were in short supply. While in Texas, the teams worked with two families to help with the removal of damaged drywall and insulation after water from broken pipes flooded their homes.
We have wrapped up our in-person assessment and our team returned to MN. At this time, volunteers continue to answer phone calls and document damage from families who still need help.
