It’s Give to the Max day- and giving is well underway!
While it’s cold and snowy outside, do something that will warm the hearts of many- support your favorite charity today!
Our teams are hard at work in Louisiana, adding new insulation and drywall to homes. Their work will allow families to move back home in time for the upcoming holidays.
You may remember Ms. Lee, whose story we shared early in our days in Louisiana. We first met Ms. Lee right before the Thanksgiving holiday in 2021. Her home was not habitable due to storm damage, but she continued to live in the house as long as she could. When the damp, musty smell of mold was too much to take, or if heavy rain came and the roof started leaking, she would relocate to the home of a neighbor.
Ms. Lee’s biggest excitement was being able to host friends and family once again, celebrating a birthday or joining together for the holiday. Her home is nearing completion, in time to gather together with friends and family in a safe and warm house to celebrate once again.
The support of our donors and volunteers help make moving home a reality for the families we work with each day. To those who have already supported NECHAMA on this day of giving- THANK YOU!
It’s not too late to participate on this day of giving! Visit the GiveMN website between now and midnight to support NECHAMA and warm the hearts of the families we serve!
