As we close in on the end of our 18-month program in Puerto Rico assisting families and communities recover from Hurricanes Maria and Irma, we begin to look towards future events that will require NECHAMA and our dedicated and compassionate volunteers.
While programs after major events are well known due to their size and scope – there are many other disasters NECHAMA responds too where lives have been affected no less, just without the bright lights of the national news. From small rural communities in Missouri, to riverside homes in northern California, to farm towns in Minnesota – NECHAMA has been there to provide hope, comfort, and assistance in their times of need.
