After a week of assessing the damage after Hurricane Michael, NECHAMA has decided to deploy to South Georgia, beginning in Decatur County. The Operations Team has seen numerous trees down all along the highways as well as on top of homes. There is a lot of work that needs to be done and it will take months if not years to rebuild the community.

Our Teams will begin with running chainsaw teams, debris removal, and some demolition. We are accepting volunteer applications, please apply here.

NECHAMA’s work is only made possible with the funding from our supporters. Your donation today counts, whether big or small. It helps families and communities recover from Hurricane Michael. Please partner with us by donating today.
