Last week MN VOAD received a request for assistance in response to flooding in Mound, MN. Today NECHAMA, alongside our partners International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), answered the call!
Ben and his wife Brit had 6 inches of flooding in their finished basement. They soon found out that their insurance wouldn’t cover the cost of the gutting needed before they could repair the damage. Ben was attempting it on his own, but with his disability, the work was slow going. NECHAMA Operations Staff, along with one of our Founders, Gene Borochoff, partnered with IOCC for the day to gut Ben and Brit’s home.
We’re often out of town responding to disasters, so we’re happy to have been available to help this family so close to home.
