On Friday, August 14th, Minnesota and surrounding areas experienced heavy rain, tornados, and powerful winds that knocked down trees and damaged homes. Saturday early morning, NECHAMA drove through Robbinsdale, MN, an area that had reported extensive wind damage with chainsaws ready. Our Operations Director approached residents of Robbinsdale, who were assessing their property damage, to inquire who required assistance. Throughout the day, with the support of three experienced NECHAMA volunteer sawyers, one of whom is a NECHAMA founder, we cleared the downed and damaged trees for three very appreciative homeowners.
