Recently, Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer proclaimed June 8 as NECHAMA Disaster Relief Recognition Day, recognizing NECHAMA for our deep commitment and deployment in the region and for promoting interfaith understanding as part of our essential work. Click here to see the proclamation!

Also, last month, Mayor Barbara Volk of Hendersonville, North Carolina signed a proclamation naming May as Jewish Heritage Month to honor NECHAMA’s direct service and our role in fostering dialogue and trust with disparate local communities. Click here to see the proclamation!
